20. How to Donate Wisely in Lazy Soccer?

First and foremost, remember: Lazy Soccer is a free-to-play game. You are not required to invest anything to win NFTs by the end of a season (there are already plenty of such cases). However, smart investments can significantly speed up your team’s development.
For iOS – Install TestFlight, then Lazy Soccer. Updates are also done through TestFlight, which is Apple’s official testing environment for developers.
For Android – Download Lazy Football from Google play. Alternatively, you can download the APK directly. The game is also available on the web in WebGL format, which works on Android devices as well.

At the beginning, I personally recommend upgrading these four buildings as high as possible: office (no other building can have a level higher than the office), training center (determines how many players can be trained simultaneously), fitness center (determines how many players can recover at the same time), sports school (determines how many young players you can acquire per season).
The speed of construction of each building depends on its level but takes at least 28 hours. The higher the level, the longer it takes to build the building.
The most classic and budget-friendly option is to quickly upgrade all four mentioned buildings to level 5. The number of gems required for construction corresponds to the value of each level: level 2 costs 2 gems, level 5 costs 5, and level 15 costs 15.
That is, upgrading one building from level 1 to level 5 will cost 2+3+4+5=14 gems. Accordingly, four buildings to level 5 will cost 56 gems. At the current stable exchange rate of gems, this is $60-65. Of course, you can go further, but for a quick start, such an upgrade will be smart.
Here you can get new players. Their number depends on the school level. You can get them completely free, but you will have to wait. All of them will be young (players in the game range from 10 to 16 years old, and you will receive only 10-year-olds from the school) and stronger than your starting lineup.
Therefore, a good option would be to get the eligible players as quickly as possible. At the start, as part of the tutorial, all teams receive a Central Forward with a strength of 300. I recommend getting two more players for gems (instantly), which will also allow you to reach level 5 of the building.
The cost of obtaining players is 10 or 20 gems. If you choose only the player’s line (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward), the cost of instant acquisition is 10 gems. If you select a specific position (left defender, attacking midfielder, etc.), it is 20.
If you have upgraded the building to level 5, you can get three players per season (one has already been received during the tutorial, meaning two remain). I would recommend using the accelerated procedure to get one goalkeeper and one more forward.
The advantage is that players of these lines have only one position (GK, CF), so their instant acquisition cost is always 10 gems.
In total, this will cost you 20 gems or $22-25, but you will immediately gain an advantage over most opponents in the Amateur Conference.
The most efficient use of the Training Center is to train as many players as possible at the same time. The number depends on the building level. Every 5 levels, the limit increases by 1. Each player trains exactly 24 hours, and this is completely free.
However, if desired, you can instantly upgrade using gems. The price of the first instant training per day is 1 gem, the second is 2, the third is 3, and so on (each training is 1 gem more expensive than the previous one). That is, if you want to conduct 10 instant training sessions in 1 day, it will cost 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=55 gems or $60-65.
This all depends on your budget. You can avoid instant training altogether, but if your budget allows, I would recommend doing 1-2 paid training sessions per day. More than that does not always seem "smart," but it still depends on your budget.

Helps restore players’ energy. I recommend using gems only when preparing for a critically important match. Player recovery through the Fitness Center is possible up to 100+(building level)%. That is, if your Fitness Center is at the maximum level of 20, you can restore players up to 120%.
Why is this needed? Performance (the real strength at which a player plays) = strength * energy. That is, a player with a strength of 500 and energy of 120% will have a match strength of 600, while a player with a strength of 500 and energy of 20% will have only 100.
If your key player is injured, it is sometimes useful to heal them in the Medical Center. The treatment for 1 day of injury works in the same way: each subsequent day costs +1 gem, starting from 1. That is, treating an injury for 5 days and 6 hours (essentially 6 days) will cost 1+2+3+4+5+6=21 gems.
The counter also resets at midnight, so the smartest solution would be to split the treatment into two days: on the first, heal 3 days of injury (1+2+3=6 gems), on the second—2 more (1+2=3). Not 3 days, because 6 hours will already pass from the moment of the first treatment. In total, 9 gems instead of 21. Such is the cost optimization. Most injuries in the game last 1-2 days and are not very common.
Probably the most important section, as all donations are essentially built around them.

How do Lazy Boxes work?
You simply buy these NFTs on the in-game market or the Element marketplace, go to the Web3 Hub -> Boxes section, select the purchased boxes, and open them. Each box drops exactly 25 gems, which can be used to speed up processes.
Should you buy boxes or gems as an investment for the future?
This is completely your decision, but I will give some introductory information.
At the moment, all boxes are in the hands of early investors who received them for their investment. The initial number of gems in the game is 275,000. The number of unused gems in the game that remain at the moment is 186,000. This number can always be seen in the section Market -> Assets -> Gems. It includes gems on players' balances, gems on the market, as well as unopened boxes * 25 (at the moment there are 6845 of them, and they contain a total of 171,125 gems). That is, more than 1/3 of all gems have already been burned.
The project is not yet selling its gems, however, it will soon start selling them in limited packs (presumably 6000 gems per month or season). The average price of each gem will tend to $1.5.
How does Lazy Staff work?
The main goal is to enhance the work of buildings.
Since in this article we are talking about proper donation for quick progress—let’s consider the use of three NFTs in buildings such as the Sports School, Training Center, and Fitness Center.
The most important thing is upgrading the Staff.
They should be upgraded according to the building they work in. The key skill for the sports school is scouting, for the training center—coaching, and for the fitness center—physiotherapy.
To use NFTs in a building, they must be added in the top left corner of the building.
Also, keep in mind that unallocated skills in an NFT should only be upgraded into the necessary skill. For example, if you have an NFT Lazy Staff Rare with scouting 8 + 30 unallocated skills—you must upgrade them to 38.
Sports School.
The level of the building determines the basic minimum strength of a player who will come from the sports school. The NFT skill adjusts this strength and also determines the maximum strength of the player who will come from the sports school.
For example, let’s take a situation: a level 1 building, and the skill "Scouting" on the NFT Lazy Staff added to the sports school building is 50.
In this case, the basic minimum strength of the received player will be 300+2=302, however, due to the 50th level of the NFT skill, 30 is added to the minimum strength. That is, the minimum strength of the player will be 332, and the maximum will be 332+91=423 (according to the table below).

Specific recommendations for NFTs for the sports school at the start cannot be given, everything will completely depend on your budget. However, there is significant randomness here. The higher the building level—the higher the minimum strength of incoming players. The higher the NFT Lazy Staff "Scouting" skill—the higher their maximum strength.
I would recommend getting at least a Lazy Staff Rare for the sports school.
Training Center.
For this building, the important parameter is Lazy Staff "Coaching." The effectiveness of training depends on this skill according to the table:
I would recommend buying an NFT Lazy Staff that gives at least 4-5 points per training session. That is, the "Coaching" skill should preferably be 36 and above (which, again, is most likely Rare). Ideally—61, if it fits your budget (the floor price for Legendary starts at $400 at the moment).
Fitness Center.
In this building, the key parameter is "Physiotherapy." The higher this indicator—the better the energy recovery of players added to the Fitness Center, according to the table:
For example, a specialist with a skill level of 50 will increase recovery efficiency by 30%, while a level 20 will increase it by 4%. Again, the higher the "Physiotherapy" skill—the better, but I would once again recommend considering at least a Lazy Staff Rare.
Is it worth buying Lazy Staff as an investment for the future?
I also don’t have an answer to this question, however, DAU / MAU metrics are gradually growing and are at their highest values since the project launch. External marketing has not yet been launched, but we are gradually preparing for it. So if you are willing to take this risk—you can try.
Conclusions.
As I already said, over the first 3 seasons, quite a few players have won NFTs without investments. There is also a group of players who donate minimally and can recoup all their expenses by winning NFTs literally within a few seasons.
My recommendation—don’t rush, carefully think through your strategy, definitely take at least 3 NFTs with proper parameters, invest in upgrading buildings, don’t spend too many gems on energy recovery, but you can spend some (wisely) on upgrading players' strength.
